The AYSO VIP program is a group of soccer teams made up of boys and girls enrolled in special education programs in Evanston and communities nearby. Other than that there are no practices and that some travel is involved in order to play teams from other communities, these teams operate just like the rest of the teams in AYSO.
During the last season there were 13 players on the Evanston AYSO VIP team ranging in age from 7 to 15 and it is hoped that there will be enough players soon to create two teams created from the older and younger players respectively. If you and your child are interested then we would be glad to hear from you.
The Evanston VIP team is coached by Mike Dickenson with his son, Andrew, as the assistant coach. Mike has been coaching since the inception of the team four years ago, teaching players both the rules and the skills of soccer.
